Year 3 Key Topics

Our enquiry question for the autumn term is 'How did life change for people from the Stone Age to the Iron Age?' and we will learn about this during our Topic lessons.

In Literacy we will be looking at texts related to our topic - the Stone Age to the Iron Age.

The religions we will study are Islam and Christianity.

In science we are learning about animals including humans. 

Art will follow ideas and themes based on our topic too.

In computing we will look at computing systems and then programming.

Literacy (07.09.26 onwards)

For our first literacy unit we will begin the year by recapping expectations of writing from Year 2. This includes (but is not limited to) looking at capital letters, full stops, types of sentence, conjunctions, lists and apostrophes.
