Mrs. Michele MinneYear 4 teacher (Monday and Tuesday)
Mrs. Michele Minne
I am so excited to be one of the year 4 teachers this year. I can't wait to get to know each of you and work together with you to make this a happy, successful, and memorable time.
Outside of school, I'm married and have two wonderful children, along with our very energetic Springer Spaniel, who certainly keeps us busy! As a family, we love spending time outdoors, exploring new places, and making special memories together.
I love travelling, discovering new adventures, and keeping active. I'm a keen runner and enjoy anything that gets me outside. I also believe that a smile and a good sense of humour can make every day a little brighter, so you'll often find plenty of laughter and a touch of whimsy in my classroom.

Miss Rachel Carter
I am so excitexd to be joining Thomas Reade school and to be teaching Year 4!
I will be in school 3 days each week - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
A couple more things about me:
I love being creative, and enjoy making Christmas cards, bracelets and fancy dress costumes.
I like learning about Space and using our family telescope to see the Sun, Moon and other planets.
I love reading - in particular, discovering new, exciting stories that my children enjoy too!

Year 4
Class Expectations
In Year 4, we created a Class Charter altogether. Staff and children have signed the charter and agreed to try our best to adhere to it.
The children agreed that the following things are what would make a happy, safe and loving classroom environment:
- Class Charter:
- - Teamwork
Working together and supporting each other - - Respect
- Respecting each other, resources and the environment we are in
- Aim high
Challenging ourselves to achieve more than we think is possible
- Be unique - Being ourselves, standing up for things we believe in and sharing our unique qualities with others
Highlights Of The Year
We go on two main school trips over the year, the first trip is currently TBC, however it will be in line with our WW2 topic, which we are finalising at the moment.
-
We also attend Hill End Camp for two days and one night in June 2027.
-
We also have many opportunities to take part in a range of different sporting events, such as the Quad Kids Athletics Tournament, Tennis at the White Horse Tennis and Leisure Centre, Football tournaments, Cricket tournaments – these are really fun to take part in and we get to cheer on our classmates!
In the Spring term, we put on a performance with Class 5 and we get to perform in front of the whole school for one afternoon, as well as to our family members one evening after school! They are so much fun, they help to develop our confidence on stage, and we get to learn lots of new songs and dances.
Throughout the year we make a variety of baked goods, including Ancient Egyptian cookies and 'Lord Woolton’ Pie (which was popular in World War 2).
In the Autumn term, we have swimming lessons at the Leisure Centre.
